Seikiro Ryokan Historical Museum Hotel

The location worked well for us, and I’d recommend the place in general. The rooms are really lovely. The hotel does feel a little old, though I get the sense that preserving it is part of the point. The bath was the letdown for me, since it was small and dated.

We had a great stay in this charming ryokan and would happily come back when we're near Amanohashidate. Our room was roomy and looked out toward Amanohashidate. On a winter night, the futon, two blankets, and warm flask made for a really comfortable sleep :)

I loved sitting on the balcony and looking out at the beach, which was directly in view from my spacious room. It’s a lovely Ryokan, and the staff were so helpful. Thanks for looking after me :)

The breakfast was hearty and Japanese style, served by a friendly lady. During our stay, we also slept comfortably on futons and used a “bag heater” inside them to stay warm. The shared shower had an old school look, especially the tiles and lighting. This place has the nostalgic feel of a traditional Japanese ryokan, so don’t come expecting a 5 star hotel. The air conditioner didn’t seem to work, and a few things, like the sliding door, could use maintenance. Still, staying in such an old ryokan was a really interesting experience. I’d recommend it to friends who are interested in that kind of stay.
