The onsen was superb, and the views were phenomenal. The staff were friendly too. The hotel is older, but it feels like time has only made it better. We got the chance to experience a real piece of Japan, and it was everything we hoped for.

The staff were what made the stay unforgettable. They were so courteous and helpful, seeming to anticipate nearly every wish. There were some language difficulties since I don't speak Japanese and the staff's English wasn't very strong, but technology made it no problem at all. The hotel is a bit dated, though the rooms are clean, well maintained, and very spacious. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, with lots of variety. The onsen were excellent too, and if you can book a room with your own onsen, go for it, you won't regret it. The place is out in the middle of nowhere, and I mean that in a good way. After a month traveling around Japan, this area has been my favorite so far. My heartfelt thanks to the staff. I hope I can book here again. Thank you!

My room was comfortable, and the views were nice. The onsen was lovely, and the staff were friendly. They also provided a vegetarian dinner option to meet my dietary needs. Breakfast is buffet style. The hotel is dated, and some parts could use a revamp, though the room itself was nice.

They put me in a different room type from the one I'd booked. The receptionist kept saying my room was occupied and moved me to the cheapest one...
