The rooms were quiet and clean, and you're right in the centre. For the price, it's hard to beat.

Service was great, and everyone was friendly. The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Each room also comes with a complimentary smartphone you can use and carry outside for your stay. Local and international calls are free through the service. I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.

The location is the best part. Most shops and restaurants are nearby, and both the Shinkansen and main station are within walking distance. I'm a non-smoker, but I was given a smoking room, and the smell kept me restless all night so I couldn't sleep well. Breakfast was just OK, without much variety, but enough to get you going for the day.

The excellent breakfast is filling enough that you could skip lunch. The menu includes fresh wakame salad, fresh Okura, and three kinds of curry.

The delicious breakfast was a particular highlight of our pleasant stay. We came to Morioka in spring for the Hanami and chose Hotel Ace Morioka because it was close to Morioka Castle. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice this business hotel was, despite the ten-minute walk from the station. It was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
