Ocean Terrace SESOKO 203

I stayed in room 303. It’s conveniently located less than 20 minutes from Churaumi Aquarium, and the layout is good, with three rooms and five beds. But if you can’t put up with dirt and bad smells, I wouldn’t recommend it. The room was shockingly filthy when I checked in, and smelled like spilled milk. The floor was sticky all over, the kitchen had what looked like spilled coffee, the trash can was extremely dirty, and the toilet drain smelled terrible. The photos aren’t shown in the order I wanted, but they include before and after pictures of the cleaning. Regular cleaning supplies were enough to remove the dirt. It took 2-3 wipes to get the floor’s bad stickiness off, and cleaning made the smell much better. There was still a strange odor coming from the kitchen exhaust fan, though, so it was hard to stand in the kitchen unless the fan was running. I contacted customer service, but they said they couldn’t do anything until they spoke with the owner and would call me back. Since I checked in late, they said it might be the next day or later. Nobody contacted me during my 2-night, 3-day stay or afterward. I ended up buying cleaning supplies, and we cleaned the room together. With the shopping and cleaning, I could finally relax two hours after checking in. I was tired from traveling, so it was really disappointing not to be able to settle in right away. There’s a washing machine, but its net is in tatters. Whether you’re a germaphobe or not, the place is extremely dirty. I think it’s only suitable for people who don’t mind dirt at all.

The beach is just across the way and was great for swimming. We also had Big Mart and Daiso close by, which made shopping easy. Our family liked having separate rooms, and the place had everything we needed. The ice cream shop owner downstairs was especially kind and helpful, too. ❤️

We were on the fourth floor in an Airbnb apartment, with plenty of room for two adults and two kids. The rooftop is a great little find: from up there, the view feels like Kouri Ocean Tower's, but you look toward Sesoko Bridge instead of Kouri Bridge. We also loved the ice cream downstairs, especially its rich, milky base. Even if you're not staying here, it's worth grabbing some and taking it up to the rooftop for the view.

Room 203 felt so gloomy that it scared me half to death, even though I tend to feel unwell easily. Overall, it was a terrible room. If you're using Airbnb, please avoid it.
