PANORAMA Ocean View Cottage

Getting the key at check-in felt like an escape room, since you have to work out the lock's password to find it inside. There's plenty of parking, though the hill is steep, so take care. The bedroom and living room in our triple room were spacious, with bunk beds to fit more people. The movable building layout leaves those two areas wide and the center narrow. Basic kitchenware is provided. There's a washer-dryer, so you can do laundry, but it's too loud to run at night. The place is up in the mountains with ocean views and a healing, camping-like atmosphere. It can feel a bit scary at night. Getting there means driving up a scary forest road, and unless you're in an SUV, watch the underside of your car because it could get scratched. You'll need a car, and getting around is limited.

I barely got to enjoy the villa since I spent most of my time out, but the place felt cozy and warm and I really liked it. The host was attentive throughout, and the directions made it easy to find. I hoped to try the hammock out front. On the first day we just had a quick beer inside and talked, then it poured on the second day, so I couldn't hang out outside. Such a shame. By checkout I was already attached to the place. I'd love to come back, thank you. 😄😂🥰

The deck gave us a great ocean view, and the location was good, though getting there involved a trail. The staff were mostly unsociable and didn't seem to bother us during our stay. For the price, I thought it was decent value, but women probably wouldn't like it. There were geckos and cockroaches in the room, and loads of bugs on the balcony. A strange bird kept chirping ominously all night, and there was a damp, used mosquito coil. The bathtub didn't have proper hot water.

The view was great, and it worked perfectly as a base for Churaumi Aquarium and trips to the outlying islands. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were always ready to help. I had a great stay and would definitely come back. Thanks! ✌️🙏
