Yunami no Yado Senami View Hotel

I booked a large room with twin beds, but got a small room with no beds, only futons put out later in the evening. You shouldn't end up with something different from what you saw when booking. I don't recommend this place.

We came across this area by chance on a road trip and decided to stop for the night after seeing the sunset. I'm so glad we did. For less than AUD$100, we had the room, kaiseki dinner, and breakfast. The seasonal kaiseki dishes were delicious, and we also ordered fried oysters as an extra. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. It's a 50-year-old hotel, still going strong, and it shows how an older place can be better. The building is well maintained, the food is delicious, and the rooms are clean. The onsen has lots of amenities and toiletries to try. Staff were friendly and professional throughout. Erika-san at reception was lovely at check-in, attentive and helpful, and Chieko-san, who served our kaiseki dinner, was kind, proactive, and very helpful. It felt like a comfortable, special home, with heart and warmth. Excellent value, and I'd recommend supporting smaller local hotels like this. Come early to enjoy the sunset from your room, the onsen, or the lounge.

It's an older hotel, with a nice indoor onsen and a lovely outdoor one. From the outdoor bath you get a wonderful ocean view.

The room and outdoor spa had fantastic views, and you could even see the sunset. Too bad it was raining when I was there, so I missed it.
