A.I.R. Myoko

After years of visiting myoko and saying we wished we were staying at A.I.R., we finally booked it. It lived up to what we'd hoped for. The location is unbeatable, with a run right to your door, and the fit-out has lots of thoughtful details. The foyer fireplace is my favourite part, a rare thing in Myoko and a perfect place to have a glass of wine. The staff were exceptional. We left feeling like we'd made friends for life ❤️

My wife and I had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant at A.I.R. Ruben and Lukas have put together a really special experience, unlike other places. If you're skiing in the Myoko region, it's a must do.

Myoko has a lovely mix of skiing and natural hot springs, and I really liked the small local village feel. You don't find that in many places, maybe Nozawa. After soaking in the onsen at Air Myoko, I settled by the fire and watched the snowy mountains. It was so cosy and relaxing. Looking forward to coming back!

You can ski right to the front door here, then continue on to one of the chair lifts, so the location was great for our winter visit. The rooms are Japanese style with futons, and I found mine very comfortable. The lodge sits at the edge of town, but it's just a short walk to Main Street for restaurants, ski hire shops, and convenience stores. We could get most things there without going farther. At the restaurant we had the degustation menu with drinks paired to each course. It's mostly vegan, though there was some fish on the menu the day we ate. The dishes were so delicious you might not guess they were vegan. The staff were very friendly, and quite a few Australians were working there.
