A lovely family-run hotel with a wonderful natural hot springs onsen.

We all enjoyed staying here, family and friends alike. It's a cozy, lovely hotel and the food is delicious.

We spent three nights here on our end-of-year ski trip. Dinner's main dish was a different kind of meat each evening, and we were very happy with the food and the restaurant's atmosphere.

At 6 p.m. we went from our room to the second-floor dining area for dinner. The hotel was full, so we shared a small table and started eating right away. Dinner was a Western-style course: threadfin bream escabeche, grilled Spanish mackerel with tartar sauce, salad, minestrone, Wagyu sirloin with maitake mushrooms, pumpkin tart, and more. The escabeche had a pronounced sourness from its Nanbanzuke-style seasoning. The mackerel was tender and delicious with its rich tartar sauce, and the mustard and honey bean sauce on the side had a sweet flavor and pleasant texture. Corn salad with wild bracken and sesame dressing was easy to eat. The minestrone had lots of diced bacon and several kinds of beans. The Wagyu sirloin was tender and tasty with a Japanese-style sauce, though a bit fatty and probably better suited to younger diners than middle-aged people like us. Pumpkin tart was subtly sweet, and coffee finished off a satisfying meal. The Western-style dinner and morning bread breakfast were filling, and we left feeling very full. Breakfast began at 7:30 a.m. with fried eggs, sausages, and toast. The eggs weren't soft-boiled, but went well with the thick toast. Milk, orange juice, and other drinks were available for free refills. Thanks for the meal.
