The main small downside was the onsen being extremely hot, though there's a cooler outdoor area. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our three nights here. The room was spacious and cozy, the beds were comfortable, and it had a hostel feel with lots of people in the communal area, while still giving you a private room. It's about a 5-10 minute walk into town. If you don't feel like walking there for dinner, you can order a pizza here, and it was actually pretty good.

That might have been the best pizza I've ever had. I think it was called ‘The Loaded Shagger’, and I'd rate it 10/10 after a day on the slopes. Morino Lodge has happy hour from 4-6 and a really nice lounge for enjoying drinks and pizza. Jack, the Aussie manager, was a legend too. He gave us tips on things to do and places to go while we were in Myoko. Thanks, Jack!

The public toilets were dirty and hadn't been cleaned, and there was no housekeeping during our whole trip. The onsen wasn't hot, with sediment or algae floating in it, and the limited breakfast ran out on most days. On the good side, the staff were very helpful and polite, the location was great, and the bar and common area were nice places to hang out. It's a five-minute walk to the slopes, though uphill, and there are eateries nearby.

The food is top notch and the location's great. The Morino crew are down to earth, and the whole experience has a lot of love behind it. The vibe is high, too. Special mention to Micah’s locks, which might be what ties it all together so well. Cheers.

The pizza is really good! It's a nice lodge near the ski slopes, with shared showers and a shuttle from the train station. The food street nearby has only a few options.
