The hotel itself was lovely, and we ended up spending plenty of time there. Our room was clean and really comfortable, the onsen was nice, and dinner was delicious, especially the fresh seafood and local dishes. Getting there on our first night was a whole other story. The snowstorm made the uphill road impossible for me to drive, so I called the hotel from the downtown 7-Eleven for a pickup. The manager came, took my luggage in his car, and had me follow him up in mine. I was so grateful for that help. A massage chair and a fresh milk machine would make the onsen area even better. We’ll be back!

We stayed from 23 to 26 February 2026 for skiing. For one of the most expensive hotels in Myoko, I was surprised there was no private shower in our room. Guests have to use shared shower facilities. The staff also weren’t very friendly or helpful. The brochure said there was a microwave, but when we tried to find it to reheat food, a staff member just said “no” and gave no explanation. I wouldn’t stay here again, and can’t recommend it.

What made the place feel like home was the staff. We had some lovely conversations with them, and they took care of us with shuttles when a snowstorm meant our hotel couldn't get us out to the slopes. There isn't much to do in Myoko besides snowboarding, so that warmth really mattered. I'll miss them and plan to return next year. The rooms were comfortable, and the onsen was lovely, well kept, and had great amenities. Dinner didn't offer much variety, but the food was excellent, with unlimited fresh sashimi.

Our rooms at Lime Resort Myoko were roomy, clean, and very comfortable after time out in the snow. The whole place felt welcoming and well thought out. Keiko, the restaurant manager, made our stay especially memorable. She was warm and attentive, checked on us, remembered what we liked, and went well beyond what we expected to make each meal feel personal. Thanks to Keiko and the entire team at Lime Resort Myoko for such kind hospitality. We'd love to come back and would recommend the resort to anyone visiting Myoko. Wish I'd taken more photos!

The booking didn't make clear that there's only a public shared bath, with no shower in the room. We were shocked by that, especially at this price. It wasn't cheap, and most places in Japan lower the price if you have to use a public shower. The experience put us off Myoko altogether, even though we'd traveled to almost every major resort around Niigata, Nagano, Hakuba, and Gunma.
