Feels nice.

Being near the Myoko ski resorts is a real plus, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Still, at this price, the problems were hard to overlook. The room was dirty, with lots of hair on the tatami and even on the futon stored in the closet. The walls are thin, so sounds from other rooms carry, and the worn building makes footsteps echo loudly. Even the basement bathroom is noisy. The stove shuts off by itself, which left the room cold in midwinter. If it had cost less, I might have been able to accept some of that. Also, they apparently keep a dog outside. I thought it was a cute mascot and tried to pet it, but it bit me, so watch out, lol.

We were there for snowboarding, and I was grateful that they let us use the bath before we left. The family who runs the hotel were so welcoming, like we were coming home, and even drove us to the ski resort in their own car. I felt a little bad asking, but they were happy to help. They really showed us what hospitality can be. Thanks so much for everything!

We had a pleasant ski trip for three, and both the husband and wife were so kind. When the nationwide travel support was already sold out through Rakuten, the inn called soon after and let me know it was available if I booked directly. They also shifted breakfast earlier because we had to leave early. Dinner on the first night felt a bit light on side dishes. The price was reasonable, so I understood, but the second night was much more filling and left me very satisfied. The room was on the small side, so we couldn't leave drinks outside to chill, which you can usually do in snowy areas. The bath is open 24 hours, though only three people can use it at once. It isn't a hot spring, just bath salts, which was a bit disappointing. There's a very cute black Shiba Inu. The inn hosts lots of students for camps and other events, and there were messages written in the guest rooms.
