Villa El Cielo Myoko

Snow all around, a cozy design, and a private onsen made for a lovely stay. It was the getaway we wanted, within walking distance of the ski resort and a pretty cafe near a pond.

From the bedrooms and terrace to the kitchen and living-dining room, the whole place is finished to an unbelievable standard. It’s a phenomenal multi-bedroom house with superb amenities, well beyond what I expected. The private onsen downstairs is dreamy, and there’s a lovely outdoor area where you can cool off. The house sits at the base of Myoko, with some of Japan’s best skiing a short drive away, or possibly even walkable.

With all its bedrooms, toilets, and sinks, this place is a great fit for a group. It’s incredibly spacious, and I liked it so much I wanted to stay for a week or so. The bathroom is large and open, and being able to get some fresh air outside was fantastic. The best plan is to buy food, bring board games and murder mystery games, and stay cozily tucked away at the inn. A wonderful place to stay.

The snowy scenery and fresh air were lovely alongside the silky-smooth hot springs. The interior was clean and beautiful, with stylish details. I especially liked the open ceiling that rises to the second floor. There’s a cute bar counter in the upstairs hallway. It was fun looking into the living room through the study windows in each room, and the interior was a treat to look at. The trip left me feeling refreshed.
