Blue Harbar

The room was tidy and decent, with plenty of free parking and free Wi-Fi. The woman at the front desk was sweet and helpful. If you’re going to their remote wilderness onsen, remember to get the PSA code to open the door. Follow the path, trust your instincts, and be brave enough to let things be.

The mattress was soft, and the price felt like good value. Wi-Fi was fast, there was a night light in the room, and the hotel was close to the harbour without being noisy. Good restaurants, the train station, and the bus station were all nearby.

The unit bathroom still had hair in it, and the cleaning was poor. Don't expect much from the amenities either. For a smoking room, I’d expect an air purifier, but there wasn’t one, and apparently there’s no ventilation. The room smelled bad. I’ve stayed in plenty of business hotels, and this one was nowhere near good. The front desk hadn’t explained two things properly: guests have to turn on the refrigerator themselves, and opening the door is confusing. You have to push the key in and turn it all the way to the right.
