Green Hotel Yes Nagahama Minatokan - Vacation STAY 24671v

A few minutes on foot from Nagahama Station, with plenty of restaurants, convenient stores, and a supermarket nearby. It isn’t a new hotel, but the price is cheap, the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and there’s a public bath. The staff were helpful, even though they only speak Japanese.

Nagahama is a starting point for the breathtaking, challenging mountain passes in northern Lake Biwa, and Green Hotel Yes was a nice place to rest up before taking them on. I stayed with friends while cycling around lake Biwa. The receptionist was intrigued to hear we came from Poland, Finland, America, and Thailand. The accommodation was inexpensive, clean, and pretty nice overall. We had a few hiccups with bike parking, but nothing serious. I say yes to Green Hotel Yes!

The place was very clean and decent, and there’s a really good yakitori place next door. I was let down by the Wi-Fi, though. They use another service instead of their own connection, and it didn’t work well at all. I was also disappointed that their sento/onsen wasn’t available around 9 am, after breakfast.

Close to the station, with decent rooms and a nice hot bath. The location is really convenient, but for the price, I expected a better breakfast.
