Hotel Unicorn

The room was huge and clean, but resting and sleeping were difficult because of two very loud sounds: an engine-like noise from another room on the first floor and a noisy AC. The network was terrible too, making it hard even to open social media or watch a low-resolution video.

There’s plenty of space in the room, the amenities are good, and coin parking is available nearby. The bedding feels old-fashioned, though, and we would have preferred full duvet covers. The AC is terribly loud, which is especially annoying in winter when it gets too cold to sleep without it.

The guy from the service team helped us a lot and never complained. The rooms are big and comfortable, and the hotel is a 12-minute walk from Nagano Station. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it.

The room was big, but the bed was very hard and uncomfortable, the shower wasn’t very good, and the roof in my room had staff falling apart. For the quality, the hotel was quite expensive. Payment was confusing: it said everything would be paid at the property, but I was charged the full amount a few days beforehand. My room was beside the smoking balcony, so I couldn’t open the windows because of the smokers, and I’m not a smoker. Check-in and leaving my luggage on arrival were met with rude staff. After that I didn’t see them around, so there was nobody to answer questions or give advice. I wasn’t happy with this hotel and won’t come back.
