The hotel is a short distance from the main Nagasaki Shinkansen station, which was handy for us. It's past its best, though it has a curious charm if you're open-minded. Definitely not somewhere to impress a date. Our non-smoking booking landed us in a room like an ashtray with beds. A flustered but very nice desk clerk moved us to another room that was less smoky. Breakfast was interesting and edible. The hotel's saving grace is the instant noodle and beer vending machine in the front lobby beside the check-in desk.

The staff were the highlight, absolutely professional, courteous and kind. The price is hard to beat, and for one quick night or if you don't need many extras, you'll be fine. It's right by Nagasaki Bus Terminal, in an old building that shows its age. Paint is peeling off the walls, and you get a physical room key that you have to hand back to staff whenever you leave the building, even if you're not checking out. There was a strange stain on my blanket, so I didn't use it.

The room was wider than I expected, and the staff were lovely. It's a good price and not far from Nagasaki station, so you can walk there. The place feels cozy and comfortable.

It's about a five-minute walk from the train and tram station. A business hotel in general, with a pretty old exterior, but the staff were quite friendly.
