Garden Terrace Nagasaki Hotel & Resort

The one thing that bothered me was the early check-in charge: they took about 70% of a full night's rate for arriving just three hours early. Apart from that, my stay was amazing, and I'd definitely come back. Customer service in Japan is known to be excellent, but the service here was on another level, with a remarkable facility and amazing staff.

The service really impressed me, and the restaurants served very tasty food with great service too. Set midway up the hill, the hotel gives you Nagasaki views by day and at night from the viewing Terrance or beside the pool. A great pick if you want a relaxing stay in Nagasaki.

The city views from the rooms are decent, and the rooms themselves are neat. Up on a rocky summit overlooking Nagasaki, the resort does live up to its claim of being the best in Nagasaki. The sushi was carefully made by skilled chefs, and the teppanyaki meal was out of this world.

The welcome was warm and the service impeccable. Recently renovated, the hotel sits on a hillside above the harbour, with different buildings for rooms, the lounge, spa and other functions. The rooms have been stylishly redone, and suites have bathrooms with a view.
