GRAND BASE Saiwaimachi

The room was spacious and had good facilities, but the noise next door made it hard to sleep. A construction site beside the property was active from 10 p.m. through the next morning. The soundproofing is very poor, and the noise carried on through the night. Finding the right property can also be confusing. Several hotels in the city have similar Grand Base names, and Google Maps doesn't distinguish them clearly. We initially went to the wrong one, so double-check the booking confirmation. There's no reception, so everything relies on self check-in, which can be inconvenient if there's a problem. Luggage drop-off isn't available either, meaning early arrivals or late departures have to find and pay for storage elsewhere. Late checkout isn't allowed, even in off-peak periods, which felt inflexible. The room itself was decent, but the lack of support and the nighttime noise hurt the stay. I wouldn't recommend it to light sleepers or anyone wanting flexibility and comfort.

We couldn't get inside when we arrived because there was nobody at reception. The hotel's phone number was out of service, so we were left waiting outside for hours. The service was horrible, and this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

We stayed while attending a basketball game, and the venue was conveniently nearby. The room was spacious and nice, which was great for our group of three since places that can fit three people are hard to find. Check-in went smoothly. Weekend prices are pretty high and might make a stay difficult, so I'd like to come back on a weekday.
