Oyado Ryu

The old house has been renovated beautifully, and the open-air bath and veranda are both well worth recommending. It’s a great place for a big group to unwind. Getting there takes some effort, though: the street is too narrow for cars, Nagasaki has a surprising number of hills, and the nearest coin parking is about a five-minute walk away.

Having the place to ourselves meant I could relax without worrying about anyone else. It’s an old-style inn on a hill a little outside the city center, though the open-air bath was too exposed to neighboring houses for me to use. For the same reason, there isn’t much of a night view to enjoy. There are almost no amenities, and no washbasin, so bring whatever you’ll need.

Renovating the old farmhouse has left it with a lovely atmosphere, and the inn itself is beautiful. I especially enjoyed the open-air bath. Since it’s a private house, I could just relax and enjoy my stay without having to think about other guests.

It was a nice, relaxing stay ♪ The neighborhood is residential, so bring some drinks or whatever you might want for the evening 😊 The nearest convenience store is quite a walk away 😅 Still, I’d like to come back 🐾
