Centrage Ark Shinsaibashi

There’s a vending machine right outside the entrance. The location is handy for dontonburi and the train station.

We found it easy to get around from here, with the subway just a 2-3 minute walk away and a Lawson directly across the street for supplies. Shinsaibashi is about a 10-minute walk, so shopping is close by while the stay itself is quiet. We were two adults and two children, and all of us were very satisfied with the experience. It’s a place we’d come back to, especially for families who want convenient transport and nearby amenities.

I stayed six nights. The spacious room was a plus, and I could leave my luggage as early as 11 am. Nagahoribashi Station is around a 3-minute walk away, though getting out by elevator means taking a longer route, so the walk can be closer to 10 minutes. The main issue was the smell. The elevator had a musty odor, and the bathroom smelled strongly too, possibly because of the ventilation duct design. The facilities also felt somewhat old. There was no cleaning during my stay, so I had to wash my towels and other toiletries myself. A self-service laundry shop diagonally opposite the guesthouse came in handy. Overall, it was an average stay, with some good points and some things that could be better.

We stayed in a duplex. The downstairs area is shared, while upstairs has beds but no toilet. There’s a washing machine with laundry balls, and you can hang clothes on racks on the balcony. Just watch your step there, the air conditioner’s outdoor unit drains onto the floor and makes it slippery. Nagahoribashi Station Exit 6 is very close. The elevator is by the parking lot at Exit 4 and can be tricky to find, though signs from the subway Exit 4 help. If you’d rather not dry clothes on the balcony, there are self-service laundromats nearby. A 24-hour Lowson convenience store is also diagonally across from the guesthouse.
