I came in April 2018 and found it a lovely little town to visit. The rooms are Japanese-style with tatami, which I love, though they could use some upkeep. The restaurant is run by the same owner, and the food was very good. Since we don't speak Japanese, the owner even helped arrange a booking for us at another restaurant in Fukuoka.

The food was excellent, and Shiraishi san gave great service. If we come to Nagato, we'll definitely visit kiraku again.

I stopped by in early summer looking for Senzaki swordtip squid. They didn't have the live squid I wanted, so I ordered a three-color rice bowl and tentacle tempura instead. It was a hot day, and while I waited outside for the shop to open, a staff member kindly invited me in, saying I must be hot. That little kindness touched me. Please keep serving delicious Senzaki squid!
