The owner’s wife told us all sorts of interesting things about the local animals, places to see, and shops. I really enjoyed hearing her stories. I visited on a weekday in early August 2024. Dinner was delicious and very filling, with dessert and tea or espresso included. They brought out extra bread too, so I was completely stuffed. Breakfast was great, especially the jam, and they kindly refilled my coffee. I’d love to go back.

It was such a nice stay with my friends. The food was delicious, the surroundings were cool and comfortable, and everyone was so warm and welcoming. Next time I’d like to come back with my family.
I first noticed this stylish inn 21 years ago, when I was leaving the parking lot after skiing at Echo Valley. I somehow missed it when booking online. The building has aged over the years, but what makes the place special is the owner and his wife, their cheerful, kind hospitality, the food, and the chance to relax. My elementary school-aged daughter was so kind to me too, and got very attached to me. I’d love to return. I did come back, this time during summer vacation after visiting in ski season before. It’s said to be about 10 degrees cooler than down below, and it really is comfortable. I came to get away from the heat and for the morning omelet. Actually, I stopped in after a hot spring hoping to stay the night. The omelet lived up to what I’d heard, and the inn feels dependable. Just remember to bring your own pajamas.
We stayed as a family of three and everyone greeted us with such big smiles that we felt happy right away. The bungalow-style rooms were lovely, and the kids were delighted by the huge manga selection. The food was comforting and made with local ingredients. There was a Citroën parked in front of the house. Seeing that family’s lovely way of life made me a little envious. The seasons feel close here, and time seems to move slowly. I’d like to visit again.
Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. The room’s a little old, but the food more than makes up for it. I was glad pets are allowed too.
