Coral Island

The area is calm and relaxing, and the place was nice. I’d go back.

The staff were kind and even gave us really sweet cookies, which was so thoughtful. I had a lovely stay with my significant other. Wish we could’ve stayed longer! 💕✨

We only booked two nights, but I’d stay longer next time I’m in Okinawa. The beach has beautiful sunsets, and we could look at the stars at night. We were lucky to see a pink moon during our stay, it was lovely. The house was spotless, felt like home inside, and had two first floor bedrooms that both faced the beach. The beach is a short walk away, and the water is only waist deep, good for swimming. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning kept a pleasant temperature, so we slept well. The kitchen had cooking tools and a dishwasher, though we chose to eat out. Nago City is about a 10 minute drive back. It’s alongside the road, but there weren’t many cars at night, and with the curtains closed we couldn’t hear traffic. A short distance across from the accommodation there’s an activity center with souvenirs, clothing, fresh vegetables, and other groceries. There’s also a family friendly scenic hiking trail, mountain views, and canoeing. There was plenty to do without driving back to Nago. The host replied quickly when we had questions, suggested fun places in Okinawa, and left complimentary snacks at check in. The place had a big thumbs up from us.

The quick replies to my questions made everything easy, and we were comfortable throughout our stay. Lawson is about a two minute drive away. We came the day before going to Janglia, which is around a 30 minute drive from here. Leaving after 9:00 should get you there for the 10:00 opening. I only wish we’d added another night to relax. We were four people, two adults and one junior high school student, and felt we got very good value. Upstairs there’s one room with two double beds and another with one double bed, plus a large table facing the atrium and the ocean. There are power outlets there, so it might suit remote work. I’d read worries about children falling, but the layout didn’t seem especially concerning to me. There’s also a toilet upstairs, handy at night. Downstairs has a kitchen, a large dining table, and a living room with a smart TV. The bathroom opens toward the outdoors and a courtyard hidden from view, so it feels open. We relaxed in chairs on the terrace by the jacuzzi and listened to the waves. At low tide in the evening, we could walk on the sea and take some impressive photos. The kitchen dishes were simple and matching, including one plate dishes the kids liked. The property is beside a fairly busy road, but it didn’t bother us while sleeping.
