Lieta Nakayama

We stayed in a two-bedroom suite that felt more like an apartment, with a roomy living area, a balcony overlooking the mountain and city, and a decent kitchen stocked with utensils. There were two toilets separate from the two bathrooms, one of which was just a shower, which was still great. The location is handy, between central Nego City and places like Nagijin, Kouri Island, and the aquarium, about a 20-minute drive away. The only reason I’d give the location four stars is that it’s beside the Okinawa Fruit Land theme park, where music plays most of the day, usually from 9-5. We barely heard it inside, and it wasn’t annoying, just something to know.

The apartments were very clean, with well-equipped bedrooms, and there’s easy parking. It’s a handy base for beaches and sights like the aquarium and zip line. I’d suggest adding a sofa, maybe a plant or two and a nice floor lamp to give the living room a warmer feel. Still, a lovely, clean place to stay.

A good value stay in northern Okinawa, and the place feels very new. I took off a star because the louvered bedroom doors let a lot of sound pass in and out.
