The inside was clean and had plenty of facilities, and the place was easy to find with direct beach access. The backyard, though, looked abandoned. There aren’t any shops nearby, so you’ll need to get everything before check-in. There were a lot of rules for guests, too. It wasn’t terrible, but with the service and price, I personally wouldn’t return.
The beach is right behind this really nice AirBnB, and Village Sumuide is lovely too. It even has two small supermarkets. Nago, the next biggest town, is walkable, or you can take a taxi. I’d recommend either: walking is free, and the taxi costs ¥2400.
The beach is only about a 30-second walk away, and you can hear the waves from this quiet spot. The kitchen has the basic utensils, plus a washer and dryer, and there’s Wi-Fi, which is handy for families with kids. A few things could be better. There are lots of little ants inside, though insecticide is provided. A minivan has to be parked at an angle. Most of all, the changing room has a smell that seems like it might be sewage, and it stays around the whole time. I’d suggest leaving the door open. I’d be happy to stay again if they could sort out that smell. m(__)m
The house opens straight onto the beach, and all the photos were taken out front. There are lots of bugs outside, but we didn’t find any inside. Kids can snorkel, and there’s a tasty bento shop and homemade burger place within walking distance. A convenience store is a five-minute drive away. Churaumi Aquarium and Pineapple Park are each about 20 minutes by car, and Nago City has plenty of good restaurants.
We spent a week here as a family of four, and the beach was just a 10-second walk away. The water was clear, blue, and shallow enough for our 3-year-old and 1-year-old to play safely. It really suited our family. The place had the basics, and having a dryer was a huge help. After going in the ocean each day, we could rinse sand off with the hose in the parking lot, then wash and dry our things. Grocery shops are nearby, and downtown Nago is about a 20-minute drive. The unmanned pineapple nearby was delicious. There was a bit of a smell in the bathroom, but it was just about tolerable. Still, we had a great time here and would come back as a family.
