The lobby was very nice, and the room had a typical style. It's a pleasant hotel close to Nagoya's transport links, with great staff. I'd recommend adding the breakfast buffet. There was a huge range of food from different cultures, including Nato. You could try it while in Japan if you like, though I still find it hard to enjoy, even knowing it may be the healthiest thing a person can eat.

We had a corner room overlooking Meitetsu Mall and the station. It was a nice spot to sit by the window and journal while looking out at Nagoya's streets. The bathroom was spacious, nothing like the cramped rooms in the Agoda or Airbnb photos. Getting around was easy, with Nagoya station just a 2-3 minute walk away and a Lawson on the ground floor for water or snacks. There's laundry on the 6th floor, costing around 300-600 yen. For housekeeping, the room has a magnet you put outside the door. Check-in and everything else felt quick and efficient, and the front office staff spoke excellent English. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a good stay at Daiwa, with lots of shops and restaurants close by. Breakfast selection could be broader, though the curry was good.

The staff let us check in early at 13:00, and Nagoya station was a five-minute walk away. Very good.

The hotel is easy to get to from the train station and bus. I slept well in a clean, tidy room with enough space and a desk to work at. The hot water and tub bath were good, and the staff were friendly, gave good advice, and communicated clearly.
