Eco Hotel Nagoya

Being steps from the station is a real advantage, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops around. The hotel is very cheap and clean, including the bathrooms, and they provide towels. The rooms are quite tiny, and you can hear through the walls a bit, though they seem reasonably insulated.

The location is great, right by the train station and with an entertainment area just around the corner. Every floor has fast wi-fi, and the room has its own remote-controlled AC. Keep your expectations to the basics and it’s an easy place to enjoy, especially for the price.

There’s good, inexpensive food nearby, including a ramen spot and a takoyaki stand in the same building. The hotel is right by the station and about five minutes from the entertainment district. It’s cheap, though, so the bed and amenities aren’t the best.

For 3000￥, this is a very cheap place, and it’s handy if you need to catch an early train. Nagoya Station is just across the street. I’d say it works for a night if you’re on a tight budget. My room was a little larger than a capsule hotel space, with a mini fridge, TV, and a spot to hang clothes by the window. There’s no toilet or shower in the room. Toilets are on the same floor, and the basement has showers with soap and shampoo, plus coin laundry and hair dryers with mirrors. There’s also a place outside the room to brush your teeth or wash your face. A takoyaki stand and restaurant are on the first floor. The lift doesn’t stop there, so I had to carry my big suitcase up the stairs to the second floor. To get to the basement shower, you take the lift. The walls are thin enough that I could hear the person next door turn on their TV.
