Nagoyaeki Access Hotel / Vacation STAY 79754

We had a really good time here. It’s handy for Midland Square and its observation deck, and there are loads of restaurants and bars nearby, so picking somewhere to eat is easy. Nagoya Station is only about five minutes away, and the hotel is right across from the meeting point for trips to Shirakawa-go, which worked out well for us in the height of winter when lots of people were heading there. The room was very small, though, and felt a little pricey for its size.

We only needed somewhere to sleep, and this worked well for the price. The room was ¥10,000 for two people when we arrived on a Saturday, the cheapest option we found. Since we liked the city, we stayed two extra nights for ¥5,000 each. The savings helped pay for a nice ryokan later in the trip. It’s a good fit if you don’t plan to spend much time in the room.

Small, cute room, and it was clean. The staff were really nice and accommodating, and the location made getting around very easy.

The price and location are the main reasons to choose this place. My room didn’t feel clean, even though it wasn’t the dirtiest I’ve seen. There were fruit flies, and I could smell what seemed like mold. Breakfast wasn’t tasty, and seemed likely to be frozen supermarket food. The breakfast area itself was fine, and the machines had free drinks available anytime. If you’re watching your budget, it’s acceptable, but spending another ¥1,000-¥2,000 a day could get you much better options. The woman at reception was polite and nice, and could speak some English, which is a plus at this price.
