For about 6000 yen through the Rakutan travel application, my two-night stay was a real bargain. The hostel in the Ozu Kannon area was very clean, and sharing a mixed dorm wasn’t much of a problem for me. I do wish they’d consider opening one room just for female guests in the shared accommodation. A very kind, accommodating couple runs Nico Hostel, and the place was spotless. I found the location convenient, about five minutes from the nearest subway station and Osu shopping street. There’s a fully equipped kitchen, a fridge, water cooler, towels, fast wifi, and a TV and work area. They take cards, are English friendly, and have a helpful website. I’d absolutely recommend staying here in Nagoya.

Everything was exceptionally clean and the system was well organized. The room is private, with a bed that isn’t cramped, though everything else is shared, so it feels a bit like a private capsule hotel. For security and sleep, I found it far better than a typical capsule. It may not work well for children, but it’s fine for two adults. Cheap, clean, and excellent service. I’ll use it again.
