Our friends chose the same non-smoking option and stayed at the other end of the hotel, but had the exact same problem and hated their stay. The women on staff who welcomed us were lovely, but I can't recommend this place. We selected a non-smoking room, as many other reviewers say they did. The whole floor reeked of cigarettes, and our room was even worse. The smell had soaked into the curtains and walls. I woke up coughing at 3am, and my partner and I slept terribly even with the window open. When we asked about the booking and why the room wasn't non-smoking, staff said there was an air purifier in it. That doesn't make it a non-smoking room or fix the smell.

The location was perfect, and the Nepalese receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to assist us and had a wonderful service mindset. Everything was amazing!

For a business trip, I found this a very basic hotel, even for one person. The online photos look nicer than the actual place. There's no proper shared space where colleagues can sit together or have a meeting. It works for a quick one-night stay, but isn't great if you need comfort or somewhere to talk with others.

The rate was affordable, but I felt like the inconvenience made up for it. It’s a bit of a walk from the station, and there was nowhere to get coins for the laundry, just a beer vending machine. I don’t drink. The bathroom curtain was dirty along the top, and the woman at reception spoke very quietly and came across as impatient and a little rude.

The front desk staff were great and patient when speaking English, but I had two problems in the room. Water kept dripping somewhere above, and a stranger was able to open my door with their key card.
