Housekeeping changed the sheets while we were out, after we’d left the sign asking them to clean the room. I’d left a white shirt on the bed, but when I got back, it was gone. I searched everywhere, including inside my bags and under the bed. Since the shirt was white like the sheets, I figured maybe they’d accidentally taken it to the laundry with them. It was a Ralph Lauren shirt given to me by someone I love, so losing it made me even angrier. When I asked the front desk for help, they insisted staff check everything carefully and don’t move guests’ belongings. But they had moved things: all our shopping bags had suddenly been piled in one corner. They suggested I look again and said this had never happened before. They didn’t seem to believe me, let alone help sort it out. I asked them to check the laundry, but they said it had already gone to the dry cleaners. When I asked if they could contact them, they made no promises. It felt like they just wanted me to leave them alone. They could have admitted a mistake and helped me get my shirt back. Instead, they gaslit me and said what happened was impossible. The customer service was TERRIBLE. People say even cheap hotels in Japan are fine, but this is the exception.

The room was about what I expected for this price. It was fairly clean, and the bed and bathroom both worked well. The service was poor, though, and the receptionists seemed pretty grumpy. I think you can get better for the same money.

Staff were nice, and it was convenient to find a bath at the hotel. There’s a sign on the second floor saying no tattoos in the bath, but they don’t provide cover-up stickers. The receptionist said it was okay for me to go in with tattoos. The location was fine, close to Nagoya Castle, subway stations, and convenience stores. The lobby being on the second floor was odd. Compared with other hotel chains, I wouldn’t recommend this one. They skimp on room amenities: for two people, there was one slipper, two hangers, one set of toiletries, and one cup. There were no blackout curtains, no view, a small TV, no recycling bin, and no water bottle. The tap water wasn’t drinkable, and the rooms weren’t the cleanest. There was a microwave, fridge, and hot water boiler in the room, which was handy. I wouldn’t return to this chain.

The bed was so, so comfortable. There’s a small fridge and microwave in the room, which is a plus, and the public bath was average. The subway is just a block away, near the Tower and long park, with several convenience stores around the hotel.

I really liked this hotel. My room was a decent size, with a big bathroom and TV. There’s a public bath onsite, and the drip coffee was great. I’d highly recommend it.
