The gym was the one letdown. It's limited to “members,” so hotel guests can't use it, which wasn't clear and felt inconvenient. Otherwise, this was a practical place for a couple of days in Nagoya. The nearby park is good for a run or for kids to play, and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the station. Our room had four comfortable bunk beds and a fully equipped kitchen, making it easy to skip breakfast. WiFi was fast and steady, and check-in and check-out were smooth. The location at Minn STATION Ai Nagoya was excellent.

My room was spacious and clean, and the rest of the facilities were too. There are a few restaurants on the building's first floor and a Family Mart, which is handy for picking up small things. Tsurumai station is a six-minute walk away, so getting around by public transport is easy. Minn Station Ai Nagoya occupies the top floor of a building that I believe is mainly used for work seminars and similar events. You don't need to attend anything there to stay at the hotel. I'd absolutely recommend it and look forward to booking again.

The bar on the hotel floor, node 7, was a great part of the stay. Tomo and Kanako were welcoming and helpful, and gave us good suggestions for our next stop in Tokyo. It was our first chance on the trip to chat with locals, and they made us feel very welcome. The hotel was an incredible place, top of the line and very convenient for getting around.

Tsuruma Park is a lovely green space about a 5-10-minute walk away, and there are a few nearby places to eat. I wrote separately about Gaburichicken Tsurumai, for fried chicken. There aren't many tourist attractions right nearby, but the subway is about a 10-minute walk and only two stops from Nagoya Station. Two independently run car parks are next to the hotel if you're driving. They aren't hotel managed, so parking is first come, first served. The hotel has a large open-air deck facing the stadium, nice for a drink or just taking in the surroundings. On the ground floor there's a Family Mart, a few restaurants we didn't try, and convention rooms. Another convention room is near check-in, which is outside reception on an upper level and separate from the accommodation. When we arrived, a gathering of Silicon Valley and business people gave the place a lively feel. That might not suit you if you're trying to unwind from a stressful job. Our room was quiet, with no outside noise despite being next to a sports stadium. We only heard of the occasional football game, not crowds or spectators. The small resealable hatch let in fresh air, though the climate-controlled AC worked well. The showers were excellent, with built-in seating so you could just enjoy the spray. We chose a double-decker bed room that comfortably fit four adults for sleeping and sitting, though the nicely finished wooden ladder may be difficult for anyone with weak knees. Minn Station is modern, with clean, stylish rooms. A young, friendly staff member who spoke good English handled our check-in. It's comfortable, clean, and contemporary, and works well for people driving or happy to take public transport. It could also be a good venue for a corporate retreat.

I stayed at Minn Station AI for an extended work trip and had a great time. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, and I liked the half-and-half pillows for good head support. There's paid coin laundry with a dryer in the building, plus a 24-hour familymart on the ground floor. A food court and cafe in the same building made meals easy. The train station is a 5-8-minute walk, with both JR and subway lines available. Highly recommend it, and thanks to the team!
