Montblanc Hotel RAFFINE NAGOYA EKIMAE

We slept really well, thanks to a comfortable bed, and found the room clean with a good amount of space for a hotel in Japan. The seats by the window were a favorite, and the Refa shower and hairdryers were provided. There were complimentary drinks at the first-floor cafe once a day during our two-night stay, plus useful amenities in the hotel lobby. We had a fantastic stay and highly recommend it.

The lobby had nice decor, including a wall showing Nagoya points of interest. Our room on the 15th floor had a city view, and the standard pillows worked well for both of us, with no headache or neck pain in the morning. I appreciated being able to shower without standing inside the bathtub. The tub wasn't long enough for me to stretch my legs out, though, and I'm 172 cm. We stayed one night and arrived at 22 morning. The receptionist kindly stored our bags until check-in, and again after check-out the next morning so we could walk around without them. I enjoyed the stay, thank you.

I went elsewhere and had a much better experience: the hotel I chose gave me a free room upgrade and breakfast, and charged less than this hotel's own website. Here, when I asked to book at the front desk, I was quoted twice the website and other booking-service price. They said I'd have to book online myself to get that rate and offered no help. The lobby was empty, with no other customers. Really poor experience and customer service.

The room looked nice and modern, with a decent amount of space, though it wasn't very spacious. It's a nice choice if you want to be near the main station, about an 8-minute walk from Nagoya station.
