The breakfast was generally good, with both Western and Japanese choices, though it changes each day and ends pretty early, so keep an eye on closing time. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and the bath in the room was excellent. I didn't try the spa. Rooms can get very humid because they're small and the windows don't open, so airing them out is important. They provide free water, and the staff took more care than I'd expect from a budget hotel. It's right by Kanayama station, and a higher floor gives you a view of the station. I'd stay again, especially on a solo trip.

Good sized rooms, a comfortable bed, and a nice breakfast out on the terrace. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is lovely and well located, close to the subway, shops, and restaurants.

Even if you're not staying overnight, the location is handy. Three train lines are right there, the JR, meitetsu, and subway. There's also a Nagoya/ Boston museum in the same place. The coffee's decent, restaurants and bars are nearby, and you get nice views of Nagoya city.

Getting here from the train station is easy. The room is small but packed with amenities, and the attendants and cleaners are very polite. The food is great, too.

We got a decent rate for the night, and it's very close to the station. The lobby setup felt a bit odd, but our room was nicely equipped, if small, which is normal for Japanese hotels. We were in room 401, and there was a cigarette smell outside it. I realize there's only so much a hotel can do if someone smokes where they shouldn't, but smoke smells anywhere are my biggest complaint about Japanese hotels.
