Breakfast was decent, although the choices were somewhat limited. The front desk also sells the Meguru Day Pass, which is handy for sightseeing around Nagoya. We stayed five days and had a pleasant time. Our corner room felt more spacious than usual, was clean, and had a good view. The location is excellent, just a few minutes on foot from Nagoya Station, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and convenience stores close by.

The location worked really well, about 13 minutes from Nagoya Station and Meitetsu Bus Center. My room cost Y5,900 a night and was a decent size for one person, very clean, and had everything I needed. I appreciated the extra pillow, toiletries, free drinks and coffee, and night gown. Staff helped me figure out where to go and even lent me a digital weighing scale. Breakfast was simple, but the croissant was delicious. I had a great stay.

We stayed for one night to rest before visiting Ghibli park instead of traveling straight from Tokyo to GBL. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the staff were professional. The room felt larger than the apa hotel we stayed in in Tokyo. Basic amenities are set out in the lobby for you to take, including face wash and moisturizer, which was useful since we packed very light. Breakfast was complimentary and simple but tasty, with pastries, instant soup, coffee, juice, yogurt, milk, curry rice, salad, and a boiled egg. It was a pretty good stay.

There’s free luggage storage before and after checkout, which was handy. The hotel is about a six-minute walk from Nagoya Station, and having a FamilyMart and Komeda Coffee just around the corner is a real plus. The room was roomy for one person by Japan standards. They provide a night gown and other amenities, including a comb, face wash, toner, cream, coffee, and tea.

The receptionist who helped us was a Japanese man around 40-50. I didn’t catch his name, but he was friendly and attentive, and patiently explained the hotel facilities in English. When he couldn’t explain a word, he asked a colleague for help. I’d forgotten to ask him about a route around the construction between the station and hotel, but while I was having the welcome vegetable juice, he followed up and drew the way on a map. My friends and I were impressed by his professionalism. Four of us booked separate single rooms, and the hotel arranged connecting rooms in pairs. We could have time to ourselves while still visiting through the connecting doors. The rooms were clean, with big double beds and bathtubs. Inserting the hotel card turned on pleasant background music from the TV. The pajamas were smooth and good quality, though sleepwear can’t be worn around the hotel. Three washer and dryer coin-laundry sets were available. One more trash bin in the toilet would have been useful. There were lots of amenities: toothbrushes, razors, hairbrushes, DHC cleanser, cleansing oil, toner, face cream, and the room had body soap, shampoo, rinse, face and hand soap, hair dryer, kettle, alarm clock, and a makeup mirror. There was no shower cap. The toothbrush was the best I used across six hotels on my Japan trip. We paid JPY700 for a simple buffet breakfast: croissants, bread, potato salad, salad, coffee, tea, and soup from a Maggi machine. The Hokkaido whipped butter was surprisingly good with the bread. Overall, good value, and I’d recommend it and come back if I’m in the area.
