There are the basic facilities, and the staff were polite. The building is old, cramped and dark, with a nostalgic Showa-era feel. I think it's a reasonable option if you just want a cheap place to stay and aren't expecting attentive service for every little need. Amenities aren't plentiful, so it might be best to bring some of your own. They do have yukata, which I appreciated since more hotels these days don't provide sleepwear. Also, I recommend the bar called Ippachi in the basement.

For the price, I think this place is worth considering. It was my first visit. Fushimi Station is close, and there's a convenience store nearby. Check-in starts at 4 PM. From the entrance to the elevator there are about four steps, which would be awkward with large luggage. The hallway is a little narrow, and voices from it carry easily into rooms. You also need to be careful that voices from inside the rooms don't carry out. The lock locks automatically. There are no tissues in the room, so you need to get some from the front desk. The building is a bit old.

Reception was really polite, and I’d happily stay here again if I’m back in the area. It’s only a five-minute walk from Fushimi Station, which made getting around easy. I paid 7,000 yen a night on a room-only business trip booking, a big help when most Nagoya hotels seemed to cost over 10,000 yen. The room worked fine as a place to sleep. Hair dryers were available at the front desk, and they handed out pocket tissues at check-in.

For a quick bath and a night’s sleep, the room did the job. It was right by the station, and my Sunday booking through Jalan cost just 4,000 yen for a single with a 100cm bed and a refrigerator, so I was very pleased with the deal. The shampoo is a conditioner-in-one, though, so women may want to bring their own treatment and cleanser.
