I slept well in the private room, which was quiet and comfortable. The women-only atmosphere made the stay especially peaceful, and the owner was lovely and helpful. There are plenty of shops nearby, though the place is tucked among them and can be a little hard to find.

The constant noise made it impossible for me to sleep properly. You can hear people walking, talking, and opening or slamming doors as if they were right in your room. The floors and walls are paper-thin, and there was movement and noise even late at night. It completely ruined the trip for me. The setup feels more like a converted residence than a real hotel: there’s a shop on the first floor, four rental rooms on the second, and the manager lives on the third. It may be on Kokusai Street, but the stay itself was awful. There are almost no basic supplies. You get a shared bar of soap and a small towel, but no shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste, or laundry detergent, so bring your own. The air conditioner also takes coins, meaning you need Japanese yen coins to use it. In hot, humid Okinawa, especially in summer, that’s unacceptable. This doesn’t meet even basic accommodation standards. If negative ratings were possible, I’d give it -100 stars. Avoid it if you want a pleasant trip.

The room was fairly spacious for the price, with a bed, TV, coin-operated AC, clothes rack, and plastic wardrobe. The Chinese female owner was friendly, and the shared shower, toilet, and kitchen were all new and clean. The location is handy, too. My room did have a lot of hair and snack crumbs, though, so the cleaning could have been better.
