Hotel Grand Consort Naha

We had a clean stay and the staff were kind and helpful. The hotel is close to Naha's Main Street, but far enough away to stay quiet. When we cancelled our last night because of the typhoon, they refunded us. I'd stay again and recommend it.

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, and the rooms were clean and tidy, with decent-sized bathrooms and bathtubs. It's a family-friendly hotel in a prime spot near the shops, with a few convenience stores close by. Breakfast was great, including good local Okinawa dishes. I'd definitely recommend Grand Consort Naha to anyone traveling to Okinawa!

My wife and I stayed at the hotel in Okinawa recently, and a couple of problems affected how comfortable we felt. The room's curtains were translucent and didn't block the morning sun, so we kept waking earlier than planned. We expected proper blackout curtains in a standard hotel room for a dark, restful sleep. We both had sneezing and stuffy noses on each of the two nights. It makes us think there could be dust or allergens in the room, and it affected our sleep. We hope the hotel will consider fixing these issues, since they matter to guests' comfort and seem avoidable.

The A/C ruined my stay. It was unreliable, and if you care about getting proper sleep, stay away. On the first night it completely broke down and shut off. The room got so hot I had to call staff and move to another room. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night, packing all your luggage, changing rooms, and then trying to fall asleep again. The new room's A/C still couldn't get cold enough. We set it to 21-22°C, but by around 4 AM it felt more like 27-28°C. The heat under the covers woke me up. I'm writing this whole review at 4 AM because the A/C woke me again.
