La Passione Boutique B&B

The hosts are so lovely and friendly, and I’d happily stay again. It’s quiet at night in this calmer area, but 7-Eleven is just a minute away and the popular Kokusai-Dori is around a 7-10 minute walk. There’s a washing machine available too, handy after swimming.

Kunki and Elly really made this place stand out. They were sincere, flexible, accommodating, and helpful, spoke English well, and assisted us with everything we needed. They’re amazing people. Their fresh Shikuwasa Iced Tea was incredible, and they even gave us samples of the specific rare tea they used to take home. The location was good too, with all the places we wanted to visit in Naha within walking distance.

A lovely place with super comfortable rooms and really nice hosts. It’s very close to kokusaidori, but honestly, even if it were farther away, I’d go out of my way to stay here.

Elly and Kunki are kind, wonderful hosts, and their little B&B made an unfamiliar place feel like home. They both speak unbelievably good English and clearly enjoy chatting with guests and hearing their stories. Talking with them every morning was a delight. We stayed three nights, and somehow breakfast got better each day, with something different every time. Don’t skip it. The location is perfect, about a 10-minute walk from Kokusai-dori and around 25 minutes from Tomari port, if you’re taking the ferry to explore rural Okinawa. We booked two rooms for four people and had a whole floor to ourselves. There are two floors with bedrooms, and our floor had two tatami bedrooms and one bathroom, which worked perfectly for us. If that kind of travel vibe suits you, this is the place, no question. For the airport, I’d suggest a taxi, especially with bags. You can take the monorail and walk from there, but the hills are quite steep. A taxi is only 1800 yen. Okinawa is probably my favorite part of Japan, and I hope I can come back and stay at La Passione again!
