The reception team were really friendly, and everything in the unit bath and the other amenities was in very good shape. I had a comfortable stay. The big refrigerator, washing machine, and microwave were especially handy. I was in a semi-double room, though, and it was tight. There may not be enough floor space to open a large suitcase.

I came away feeling this was the most unpleasant hotel service I've ever had, and I won't stay here again. I wasn't expecting special treatment, just ordinary service, so I still can't understand why the stay turned into such an upsetting experience. The foreign female staff were all polite. At check-in, I introduced myself and the man standing beside the desk sneered. He said, "It's ____! Where are you looking? That's not it," while the Japanese woman at the front desk, who looked to be in her 20s, gave me a nasty grin. My unusual surname may have made it harder to find my booking, but there was no reason to laugh at me. Later that night, my room's air conditioner smelled strongly of mold, so I called the desk. The man in his 50s handling it just echoed my words, saying, "It smells like mold" and "The room stinks." His tone sounded angry, and he said, "It's because you used it, right?" I can't forgive that. They did offer another room, and the one next door didn't smell bad, so I agreed to move right away. His response was, "Hmm. I'm not a customer so I don't know, but if that's okay with you, that's fine." It came across as rude and lazy. Then he asked, "Can I put away the towels in front of the door? They're not my personal property, are they? I can't do anything about it if you tell me after the fact." That was irritating too. I felt that if they were going to treat guests this way, they should quit. What are they even working for? It was the worst trip ever.

For a practical stay, this place has most of what you need. There’s a washer, a fridge with freezer, a microwave, TV, and plenty of outlets, so you can keep up with laundry and charging without much hassle. The rooms are compact and the corridors a little narrow, but heating is adequate throughout. The prefabricated bathroom isn’t roomy, though it was clean and the hot water stayed consistent. The window looks out toward Naha Port, and ventilation was decent. On a multi-night stay they don’t clean the room proactively. You leave used towels and rubbish outside the door, and toiletries are in the elevator lobby. It has a self-sufficient feel. There are 24-hour supermarkets and convenience stores nearby, and Kokusai Street is a reasonable walk away. It’s not a resort, but it worked well as a place to rest between outings. If you want functional accommodation and a quiet night without lots of complicated amenities, it’s a reasonable option.

Tomari Port is close by, which made getting to the outlying islands convenient. There are convenience stores and izakayas nearby for late-night needs, while the hotel sits away from the busiest part of Kokusai Street. I found that mix of access and quiet especially appealing. I’m a little particular about where I stay, and the upkeep here pleased me. The outside looks plain and businesslike, but inside the lobby and room felt fresh, with none of the musty dampness I sometimes find in older hotels. The room is compact, yet laid out well, and for a short visit I preferred that comfortable, manageable feel to somewhere overly luxurious. In a city full of history and tourist spots, even the name "Peace Island" felt soothing. I spent three days here in Okinawa and it felt like a place to recharge, not just sleep. I woke up refreshed each morning, and the stay was peaceful. Thanks for the hospitality over those few nights. I’d be glad to return if I’m looking for somewhere conveniently placed but calm.

We were planning to catch the ferry from Tomari Port, so being nearby worked out well. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices and tasted good, too. In the room, the large fridge, washing machine, and microwave made staying several nights much easier. I’d happily book here again.
