Yumoto Shimakan

This was my second visit, and it’s the best private onsen in Shima onsen city.

Great stuff.

The hot spring could be reserved for free、and bathing while snow flurried was a wonderful experience。However、some areas lacked cleanliness。The food was tasty、and the portions were generous, so I was satisfied。The meal service seemed a little clumsy？to me。 The guest rooms were old、and it was hard to deny that the place felt unclean overall。I stayed in a room with an open-air bath、The phone signal was1 bar。Although I understand it can't be helped、advertised as available in every roomWi-Fialso wouldn't connect。There was no vending machine、and tap water was the only drink。These issues really brought down my impression。 Considering the price、the cleanliness and facilities felt inadequate。Even so、if you want to enjoy a traditional hot spring、it may be worth visiting。

The portions at both dinner and breakfast were just right, and we were very happy with the meals. The hot springs were so relaxing that my aunt and I went in several times. On our visit there were five private baths, and each had a view of the river. The inn is a little away from the center of the hot spring town, but it’s peaceful and quiet, which suited us well. We hadn’t stayed here in a while, and booked an overnight stay with two meals at a special rate on the official website. For what we got, it felt like a great deal. I also left something behind in the room, but the staff contacted me and arranged to ship it back. Their kindness right through the end meant a lot to us. I’d definitely like to come again.
