The bed's head was right behind the elevator, and it rattled whenever the elevator moved. I couldn't sleep at all. The worst night I've had at a hotel, and I'll never stay here again. On top of that, I had paid when booking online but was charged again at check-in. I only avoided paying twice because I noticed. I'd steer clear even if the other options cost less, were closer to the station, or had no rooms left.

It's a bit of a trip from Kokura Station, but nearby restaurants and convenience stores make that manageable. I liked that they had turmeric tea and coffee in the lobby.

The downtown area is close, so finding somewhere to eat isn't a problem. The bar touts right outside the hotel can be irritating, and the bar district out front gets noisy on weekends.

My two friends had come a long way to visit, and I booked this place for them. They were upset to find the bedding and pillows very dirty. They took photos and asked the hotel to change the duvets, but still couldn't sleep directly in the bed. They had to lay towels down and wear long sleeves, and even asked me to find another place for them. I won't use this hotel again or recommend it to anyone.

Cheap and convenient, just what I want. I've stayed many times, and it's comfortable and clean enough when all I need is a place to drink and sleep. Parking is available at Chuo Daiichi.
