Restay Kokura - Adults Only

The location was good, and I appreciated that breakfast came with the stay. But the duvet was covered in dust. My phone ended up dusty too, so I checked and found it was coming from the duvet. I felt unwell, pushed it aside, and slept without it. Changing the sheets isn't enough, the duvet needs washing, airing outside, or at least a good dusting.

The way in to the hotel is along narrow roads, and even getting loungewear means picking it up near the entrance first. I've never run into that setup elsewhere. The hotel itself is old, with an air conditioner that stands on its own and interior doors that won't shut. For what it costs, I wouldn't come back. At half the price, I think they might get customers.

I've stayed in all kinds of business and love hotels for work, and this was the worst experience I've had. It was hard to get through to the front desk in the first place. When I finally called to ask about the price, the older woman who picked up sounded irritated, kept talking, then hung up on me. Later she called back for some reason, asked, "Aren't you going out for a break?" and told me to pay quickly. I had meant to stay the night, but I got fed up and answered straight away. I won't be coming back 👍

The stay was good overall, and I'd come back if I get the chance. Still, when I called to say I was leaving or coming back, the front desk staff sounded so unenthusiastic that it made me a little uneasy.
