Soki Kanazawa

There was construction outside, but we couldn’t hear or notice it once we were indoors. The room was clean, the mattresses comfortable, and the pajamas were lovely. It felt a bit like staying at a spa, and the staff were friendly. The location was handy, about a 15-minute walk from the train station and across the street from Omicho Market. Our family of three loved it. We’d happily stay again and have already recommended it to a friend.

The location was good, and I appreciated being able to open the windows for fresh air. The blankets were light and breathable. The coin laundry was convenient, but the dryer didn’t work well. Even with only a small load, I had to run it twice. The hotel looks modern, though better in the pictures than in person. The rooms were very small and poorly laid out, making it hard even to open a suitcase. They only provide toothbrushes as amenities. For anything else, you have to go to reception, ask, and fill out a form. They also don’t send suitcases. We had to get up early and spend over 30 minutes at a Kombini persuading an employee to ship our luggage. With an early train coming up, that was stressful.

Four days didn’t feel like enough. The hotel is easy to get around from, with buses nearby, and the drugstore is right across the road. It’s about a 5-10 minute ride to Kanazawa train station. The staff were incredibly sweet and helpful, even assisting with a restaurant reservation. The TV has all the information you need, including a way to check how busy the laundry machines are. Water and ice are self-service and readily available, though I’d suggest putting dispensers on every floor. The amenities are very good, especially the onsen. I managed a quick 30-minute visit before my train. You can use the onsen from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., then again from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. I missed the pudding drink. Tattoos are allowed if you buy a set of tattoo stickers for 100 yen. Kanazawa has so much to offer, and next time I’d bring just a backpack. I couldn’t ask for a better hotel and would definitely return.

The wood gives this very modern interior a grounded warmth. Cream shades and soft curves keep the look restrained, and the uncluttered design feels simple and deliberate. Inside, it’s quiet, serene, and spacious, almost like entering a meditative sanctuary. The calm atmosphere makes a gentle break from the noise outside and leaves room for guests to settle in with their own thoughts and presence. 🌹💕🌹
