BATON SUITE Okinawa Kouri Island

We slept so well in the king bed, with its comfortable mattress and pillow and crisp white linens. The bathroom was gorgeous too, and the view was awesome. The hotel has a clean, modern, zen feel that makes you want to stay in. Everyone we met, from the front desk to the staff at the small, cozy restaurant, was very nice. Breakfast cost extra when booking, and lunch and dinner require reservations. We stayed just one night but will definitely come back. It’s worth the price.

We ended up having a great time, even though the booking was an accident. My husband and I had meant to book a room for around 60,000 yen that could fit about five people, and at first we were shocked. Once we got over that, we embraced it. The lobby smelled of essential oils, check-in was easy, and the staff were incredibly polite. We showed up with no luggage, just the clothes we were wearing, but they provided pajamas, toothbrushes, and more, so we didn’t feel we were missing much. They showed us our slippers and put essential oils in the tin for us. The room and pool were beautiful, and the view was amazing. I’d stay again with friends. The only things I’d want improved are the unreliable WiFi and the tub drain button, which needs a good cleaning. Can’t wait to go back and treat ourselves again.

We had a king bed plus two full beds in a separate section of the garden suite that could be closed off. The room was quiet, and the view of Kouri Bridge was gorgeous. It looked just like the photos online, maybe even larger, and the setting was perfect. Breakfast was included, while dinner cost extra, and both the included breakfast and dinner were tasty. If you’re open to trying unfamiliar dishes, there’s plenty to enjoy. I tried several things I’d never heard of, and they were delicious. My husband’s from Texas and approved of dinner too. The staff were so kind and helpful, going out of their way to make our stay memorable. Our two toddlers are loud and curious, but the staff met them with high fives and even drew smiley faces on their breakfast plates. Our family had an amazing time, and we’ll be back.

The grounds were exceptionally clean, and the breakfast was full of Okinawan flavors. We got more than we expected on arrival, including plenty of toiletries, slippers, and robes. The views were amazing too. Highly recommend this resort!
