I had a lovely short stay in a simple room in a cute house tucked away in a beautiful forest area. The owner and her family were incredibly friendly, and made me feel so welcome. It made me really happy.

The guest house sits in a peaceful spot surrounded by forest, and the rooms are really big. There’s a great kitchen, too. The owner is very nice and friendly, and went above and beyond to make my stay perfect.

It felt comfortable and familiar. We visited in February when another family was staying there too. The host started a campfire as soon as we arrived, which helped us get to know each other. The host family were super kind, and I even learned Djembe. We could use the kitchen to eat and the living room freely. Towels and washing machines cost extra. The owner seems to love music, maybe an amateur DJ? lol. We took group photos on the last day and made some good memories. I’d stay here again if I return to Okinawa.

The place is beautiful, and the customer service was amazing. The traditional Japanese house has a comfortable interior that made me feel like a hipster. It was very quiet, except for the dog keeping watch behind the house. This house is next to the mainhouse.

This cabin in the woods near Nago city makes for a memorable night. For 500 yen, you can have a BBQ in the garden with fireworks. The two-story cabin can fit more than 10 people, and has a clean kitchen and shower. Bring your own food and come by!
