For a honeymoon, I honestly wouldn't choose this hotel. We told them in advance why we were coming, but our room still had a huge web above the bed with dead bugs caught in it. As soon as we checked in, we also spotted palm-sized spiders and thumb-sized moths, inside and outside. The hotel is in an area where insects are everywhere, as you can see on Google Maps, and that ruined the atmosphere for us. This is why I gave the room 1 star and the location 2. The service gets 3 stars because they did provide complimentary bottled Orion beer. The bathroom is a unit bath, and filling the tub means using the shower since there's no downward-facing faucet. It takes a while and leaves the room damp. The mirror doesn't have an anti-fog feature, so you can't see your face while cleansing, washing, or moisturizing.

The villa's location and view were amazing, though the weather stayed rainy or cloudy the whole time. It seems like it would be even more enjoyable on a sunny day. We were glad we stayed there during the typhoon, since we could enjoy ourselves in the villa. Being able to check in and out without meeting staff made it easy to unwind without worrying about other guests. There was a power outage across Kouri Island for about an hour in the middle of the night. I called the staff then, and they responded in a pleasant, reassuring way.

I had to cancel unexpectedly for personal reasons, but their response was warm and welcoming. It wasn't the usual business-like “we'll see you next time” sort of reply. Even before that, after I booked, they answered every question I emailed them right away. It was wonderful.
