The staff made our family feel welcome from arrival to departure, with attentive service that really stood out. The “Okami,” or hotel lady owner, even came to meet us, which was a warm and delightful gesture. Notoraku felt like a peaceful retreat amid nature, and the rooms on the 14th floor were spacious, beautifully kept, and had wide windows looking over the Noto Sea. We loved the dining hall too. The meals featured healthy, locally sourced ingredients, and every dish was full of flavor. The friendly staff made dining a pleasure and took care of our needs with a smile. The spa areas were another highlight. At reception, there was a soothing seasalt scent and a calm atmosphere, with tasteful decor that helped me unwind. Our exclusive VIP room on the 14th floor had an outdoor spa pool with gorgeous mountain views, a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine. The staff there were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed for free. We came for a family celebration and had a rejuvenating stay at this Wakura Spa Resort in the heart of Nanao City. From the warm welcome to the relaxing surroundings, it felt luxurious and peaceful. Notoraku is a special place for a serene getaway or spa break, and our time at this Wakura resot felt magical. I can't wait to come back with my family.

I found the hotel entrance a little left of the wedding hall, down a slight hill to the main doors. Google Maps showed a different entrance, and I initially went into the wedding hall before realizing I was in the wrong place. The hotel looks very fancy. I was there with my company, which brought the room price down. My room at Noto Raku felt spacious compared with a very small room I'd stayed in elsewhere in Japan. It had a pleasant view of Wakura Onsen and a little wicker chair by the window. The kettle was already boiled when I arrived, and four yukatas were folded on the bed, two red and two blue, with two reversible haoris and tie belts. The main onsen is open until midnight. I put on a yukata and haori, kept my underwear on, slipped into the hotel slippers, and took my towel over. The women's bath is on the second floor near the front desk. It has two outdoor sections, including a shallow pool where you can lie down with a stone pillow and look at the stars. There's also an onsen on the seventh floor with a beautiful view of the water and Notojima. Breakfast is included, and it's very Japanese style. I had a relaxing, lovely stay. You'll need to know some Japanese if you want to come here.
I love Japanese hot springs, or onsen, and it was wonderful to stay in a Japanese onsen hotel. The decor and food both have a real sense of zen and Japanese aesthetics.
Really luxurious for a reasonable price.
The sea view was absolutely stunning, and the food and onsen were great.
