It’s a fair price, and both the station and supermarket are about 11 minutes away. The room is old, and noise from next door was irritating. It had two teacups, a thermos, and a refrigerator, but no memo paper. Breakfast was a slice of bread, a small serving of scrambled eggs, and shredded cabbage. The rice shown in the photo wasn’t there. For what it costs, it’s acceptable, but between the poor breakfast and noise from other rooms, I won’t stay again.

The surrounding area is mostly bars and a run-down arcade, and it takes about ten minutes to walk to a convenience store or supermarket. That was the one downside of an otherwise nice hotel. I stayed two weekday nights in a Japanese-style smoking room on the fifth floor. I don’t smoke and am sensitive to smells, but the room was clean and comfortable, with a nostalgic Showa-era feel. The bathroom was a unit bath with a bidet, and the water pressure was strong and pleasant. Amenities like a comb, razor, and cotton swabs were by reception. The tall young man at the front desk was extremely polite and left a great impression. Breakfast is complimentary, and the photo shows a substantial one-plate meal. Drinks in the breakfast area are free from evening until around 8 PM, even outside breakfast hours, as part of the working space. There are three washing machines and three dryers, all free to use. Detergent is sold separately at reception for 100 yen per pack. PayPay is accepted.

The room next door was empty on my first day, but a guest arrived the second day and the rattling noise bothered me. The building is 40 years old, though the facilities are good. Breakfast and Wi-Fi are free, and you can use the washing machine on the seventh floor at no charge, with detergent costing extra. There’s a kitchen and microwave, too. Coffee, tea, soup, and other items are free at the restaurant on the first floor. Rental bicycles are also free.

It was the worst experience, mainly because of how the boiler failure was handled. A malfunction itself is understandable, but I checked in while the equipment was broken and nobody explained what was going on. The shower wouldn’t get warm. When I went to the front desk, repair workers were rushing in and out, but the male staff member there still gave no explanation. I felt guests weren’t being treated like guests. This is the one place I’d never stay again. Please be careful.
