We had plenty to do nearby, so there was no chance of getting bored, which makes this a good choice for families. We stayed in a separate building with a sauna around Halloween and spent ages going back and forth between the bath and sauna. It was wonderfully relaxing. The facilities were clean and comfortable, and we cooked the ingredients we brought for simple, tasty meals.

There are different kinds of rooms at this glamping spot in Ruri Valley, so it works for all sorts of groups, from families to friends. A hot spring facility is nearby too, making it easy to relax and enjoy your stay.

A handy spot for a trip from the Kansai region, especially if Awaji Island or Lake Biwa is on your route. At night, sitting under the stars with coffee or beer sounds just right. There’s a draft beer and highball machine at the front desk, with drinks around 500 yen. We picked up breakfast between 7 and 8:30 AM. It was delicious, with a Ghibli-style feel. BBQ dinner is collected from reception between 3 and 5:30 PM. Check-in starts at 2 PM, or around 10 AM for early arrivals, but the rooms aren’t open then. It took 30 minutes to check in. The tents get hot in summer. The air conditioning didn’t do much, and things only cooled off in the evening. There’s no WiFi. Great glamping spot, though.
